FWRC participates in the annual ARRL Field Day event every June.

FWRC conducts a monthly fox (hidden transmitter) hunt from March through November.

FWRC members bring test eqiupment to one meeting per year for the club's annual "rig clinic."

Every August, FWRC hosts a free tailgate hamfest.

FWRC members participate in the ARRL VHF QSO Party from an upper level of a parking structure.

License exams in Fort Wayne Nov. 18

Vounteer examiners conduct FCC amateur radio license exams during the Fort Wayne hamfest, November, 2016

The next volunteer examiner test session here in Allen county will be Saturday November 18, at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum, during the Fort Wayne Hamfest.

We will be taking check-ins from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The W5YI volunteer examiner coordinator fee for 2017 is still $14; you will need a photo ID and a second form of ID as well. If you are testing for an upgrade, you will also need to bring a photocopy of your current license to leave with the paperwork.

This is your final 2017 oppportunjity to take an FCC amateur radio exam in Fort Wayne.
